Meet our therapists

Our therapists are master's level and licensed in Massachusetts, offering client-centered, strengths-based expressive arts counseling for all ages.

Natalie Blue

Natalie Blue, LMHC

she/her, Co-Owner and Director

Natalie has been a therapist on the North Shore for nearly two decades, working with adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of childhood trauma. Many of her clients are women and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She specializes in trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and expressive arts.

Madelene Pario

Madelene Pario, LMHC, ATR-BC

she/her, Co-Founder and Director

A board-certified art therapist and licensed counselor, Madelene takes a person-centered, attachment-based approach with children and adults ages 6 and up. She is trained in EMDR, ACT, IFS, DBT, and Sand Play, and specializes in trauma, dissociative disorders, and phobias.

Valerie Blanc

Valerie Blanc, PhD, LMHC, BC-DMT, CMA

she/her, Clinical Director

Valerie is a dance and movement therapist specializing in young children ages 3 to 10 and their families. She works with anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and developmental delays, is trained in somatic therapies, and is proficient in American Sign Language. She also serves on the dance and movement therapy faculty at Lesley University.

Lily McConnell

Lily McConnell, LMHC

she/her/hers, Lead Supervisor

Lily works with clients from middle school through adulthood, supporting anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and relational concerns with a strengths-based, whole-person focus. An expressive therapist trained in EMDR, Sand Play, Play Therapy, and DBT, she also brings years of care coordination experience.

Maureen Dunne

Maureen Dunne, LMHC, ATR

she/her, Therapist

Maureen is a lifelong North Shore resident who completed her art therapy training at Lesley University. She works with tweens, teens, and young adults on anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, self-esteem, and life transitions, and brings a school-based perspective from her work as a mental health counselor in a local high school. Her favorite art materials are watercolor and ink, and outside of session she can be found on a long-distance run.

Laura Forsblad

Laura Forsblad, LMHC/LCMHC/LCPC, ATR-BC, PMH-C

she/hers, Therapist

Laura is a board-certified art therapist and perinatal mental health specialist, trained in EMDR, who works with children, adolescents, and adults. With nine years of experience across schools, in-home therapy, residential treatment, and community grief settings, she brings a deep well of trauma-informed practice to her sessions. She has also written grants to expand access to art therapy and volunteered internationally supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Liz Gruenfeld

Liz Gruenfeld, LCSW, PhD

she/her, Therapist

Liz holds a PhD in social work along with a master's degree in arts education from Harvard, and specializes in complex trauma recovery, anxiety, and self-regulation for both children and adults. Her work draws on trauma-sensitive, cross-cultural approaches that blend visual arts, yoga and mindfulness, and play therapy, informed by a decade leading healing-centered workshops across the U.S. and abroad. She is fluent in English and Spanish, with some Italian and Arabic.

Amelia Napolitano

Amelia Napolitano

she/her, Client Success Manager

Amelia keeps the client experience running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting clinicians with their caseloads, managing referrals and inquiries, and helping new clients get set up with the right fit. She previously worked as a clinician at Artful Life before moving into this role to support clients and the practice more broadly. Outside of work, she loves being in nature, making art, and spending time with the people she loves.
